Getting kids moving is always a win-win. Movement refreshes students and makes learning more fun. The sixth grade students practiced calculating mean, mode and median while perfecting their basketball skills. Math teacher, Miss Elisa Nirei broke the class into two teams and presented them with a problem. As a team, they had to calculate the answer and once the team gave the correct answer, one student grabbed the basketball and tried to make a shot. The first team to make a shot scored a point for their team. What a great way to incorporate math with movement!
