Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Today’s Reflection:

The Lord appointed 72 others whom he sent ahead of him in pairs.

Today's reflection

“For the whole law is fulfilled in one statement, namely, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ ” Saint Paul speaks to us of the freedom we receive as persons who bear the image of Christ through baptism.  Paul encourages us to use this freedom to love our neighbors as we love ourselves.  The Gospel reminds us that our focus needs to be on the Lord Jesus, who invites us to follow him unreservedly.  We are free to make this choice, and once we do, we will be persons dedicated to loving and serving others.

Name one way in the past week that you have loved your neighbor as you love yourself.
