From the Parish Director of Education
Dear Catechists and Staff:
It seems that this year ended too quickly. St. Ann’s parish doesn’t realize what a gold mine it has in its catechists and the staff that support the programs. Under the leadership of Bob Noguchi and Sylvia Makainai and supported by MaryRose Timmons, the year will end successfully.
This year approximately 47 youth will be welcomed at the Eucharistic table the later part of May. Twenty-nine more teenagers will be confirmed on May 14th. Our sacramental programs are alive and filled with the Spirit. We have already laid out a plan to make a transition to the New Order of adjustment to receive the sacraments of Confirmation and First Eucharist.
Our catechists are faithful to their lessons and are always prepared to present these lessons on Sundays. The many support staff who come in to help with clerical work, office procedures and preparing snacks for the pre-school keiki are so valuable to us. You have all been so faithful and loyal to St. Ann’s Elementary Religious Education and Youth Ministry programs. We are so grateful for your commitment to help strengthen the faith life of our children and teens.
Our program is only successful because of the people who have dedicated themselves to bringing the word of God to the youth of our parish. Mahalo Nui Loa for who you are, for all that you do and for being such important role models for our students. Have a nice break and enjoy the summer months. We’ll see you again in August! God Bless You!
