By Miss Robin Mishell, Gr. 5 Science Teacher
The 5th grade Science students completed their Endangered Species Projects and did an outstanding job presenting their findings to their peers. Some of the fascinating species included the Galapagos Penguin, White Tiger, Hawaiian Hoary Bat, Amur Leopard and Borneo Pygmy Elephant. The students did a stellar job describing their chosen animal’s physical description, diet, habitat and possible solutions to their extinction.
Students are learning about Classification in Science and correlating this to their Service Learning Project in which they are collecting various hygienic products to give to Project Share for distribution to the homeless population of Kaneohe.
