YM PALI BOWLING & FELLOWSHIP
By: MaryRose Timmons, YM Coordinator
It was another fun and faith-filled Sunday youth activity at Pali Lanes in Kailua. Over 20 teens from the Seventh, Eighth and both Confirmation classes spent a few hours hanging out with each other, bowling, playing video games and eating ono grinds at the local hang-out spot for avid bowlers! We have teens who are on the Junior Bowling League and even competed on the state level. They filled the room with excitement and we watched in awe, as they continuously made strikes with their powerhouse deliveries! They also showed graciousness and kindness when they helped out their friends, playing in the lanes next to them by sharing a few cool bowling tips . Everyone had great sportsmanship, cheering for each other with high-fives, “oohs and ahhs”, dance moves and of course, capturing moments by taking selfies with each other! We all had the opportunity to pray the Rosary on the bus to Pali Lanes and on the return to St. Ann’s. Heartfelt intentions were offered for each Glorious mystery by the teens for our families, safe travels, the sick, the injured, for the end of abortion and protecting Mauna Kea. Mahalo to everyone who enjoyed the afternoon in the Lord on the feast of Saint Luke!
